Whenever permanent part marking (product marking) and product identification is involved, you are at the right place at OSTLING MARKING SYSTEMS:
Apply your company logo, electronically readable 2D codes (DataMatrix), serial numbers and all other conceivable product data directly onto your products and components with our leading industrial marking technologies.
Our marking systems stand up to even the toughest stresses – as opposed to simple imprinting or stickers – for the entire service life of a machine. Our marking product range covers all important marking technologies, enabling us to meet all your application needs.
OSTLING MARKING SYSTEMS: Quality made in Germany and is worldwide present.
You will find Ostling offices in GERMANY, SWEDEN, UK, USA, CHINA, HONGKONG and SINGAPORE. Furthermore, we have a widespread network of representatives all over the world.
Electrolytic marking is based on an electrochemical etching process where the image of a stencil is transferred to an electrically conductive product by the action of electrolyte (saline solution) and electricity.
Etch Unit 80 / Etch Unit 100 - the low-cost handsets and control devices to entry into electrolytic marking
In contrast to the EU 80, the EU 100 has the advantage that it is also capable of generating direct current as the output voltage. This also enables deep marking.
The Etch Units 300 and 500 Classic are probably the most commonly used electrolytic marking controllers in the world.
It features allows and facilitates a precise working with a variety of metal alloys. i.e. the electrolyte pump is automatically controlled - important to use the optimum amount of electrolyte during the marking process.
Etch Units 300 and 500 Expert are the absolutely top notch in the field of electrolytic marking.
Communicating with PLC or PC is possible. These devices are used as a basis for fully automatic applications.
Electrolytic marking is durable, cheap, easy and precise
Dot Peen Marking
Dot Peen Marking (Dot Peening) / Needle Embossing or micro-percussion (micro-dot marking) is a marking technique for Permanent Direct Part Marking within the field of material deformation (deforming), that corresponds to graining
With needle embossing (also called the point of percussion technology), materials are marked using a carbide tipped tool (needle) that oscillates through compressed air application and moves in an X and Y direction during its upward and downward movements.
This results in a dense sequence of individual dots (writing) being punched into the material. Depending upon the needle frequency, a complete line can result. Characters, digits, logos and 2D codes (DataMatrix) can be imprinted in the field as desired.
The PinMark needle embossers are exceptionally suitable as benchtop devices for small batches and individual units. Due to their proven robust and compact construction, you will be able to create extremely precise markings on your products or components.
The prerequisite for the use of the benchtop devices is the ability to position your products well. The height is adjusted with a hand wheel or, upon request, with an electric or pneumatic height adjustment installation (Z-axis). In combination with our innovative and proven industrial controls, the functionality of the devices is optimally adjusted to your needs.
With Ostling Pin Marking Systems no limits to your automation concepts.
The PinMark marking heads are perfectly suited to the needs of industrial automation. Whether in production lines and/or integrated into special machines: Compact dimensions and numerous position possibilities of the heads mean next to no compromises to your specific requirements.
In combination with our innovative and proven marking controls, the functionality of the systems is always customised to your applications. The most modern interfaces (RS-232/RS485, USB, Bluetooth) and the observance of protection classes up to IP65 ensure flexibility and reliability, even in extreme work environments.
